Bayern eyeing shock move for Man Utd captain?

Bayern Munich could make a surprise move to land Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes at the end of the campaign, according to Fichajes.

The Portugal international was touted to move to the Saudi Pro League last summer. Al-Hilal were willing to pay £30 million in annual wages, but the playmaker decided to stay with the Red Devils.

This has not ended the speculation and reports claim that he could push for a new challenge away from the Mancunian giants next summer if they were to miss out on European football for another year.

Bayern have now emerged as potential contenders to land the highly-rated Portuguese star and it is claimed that they could pay upto £80m to secure his services from the Red Devils when the season ends.

Fernandes has yet to make any decision on his next club, but could start contemplating if United distance themselves from European qualification. They are currently seventh in the league standings.
