Al Hilal win the race to sign Man Utd target for €30m

Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal have won the race to sign Manchester United target Kader Meite from Rennes this winter, according to RMC Sport.
The 18-year-old striker emerged as a potential target for the Red Devils earlier this month, and it was claimed that they could make an approach for him.
However, United did not make any formal offer to the French outfit, and Al Hilal have now reached an agreement to land the forward for €30 million.
Their initial offer worth €26 million was turned down yesterday, but they have come up with a renewed package to convince the Ligue 1 side into a mid-season sale.
Meite, who has netted five goals for his club this campaign, has already agreed personal terms with Al Hilal ahead of his move to Saudi Arabia.
Aside from United, the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford were keeping tabs, but never made an offer to compete with Al Hilal.
