West Ham pushing to sign Chelsea defender

West Ham United are pushing to secure a loan deal for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi before the transfer deadline on Monday.

The Hammers were keen on landing the Frenchman from the Blues last summer, but they could not agree on personal terms with the centre-back.

The east London outfit have returned for the former Monaco man and reports claim that they have received the green light from the player this time.

Negotiations are underway with Chelsea over the wage sharing. It is only a matter of time before Disasi makes a temporary move to the Hammers.

It is unclear whether the Hammers will have an option to buy him when the season concludes.

Chelsea are preparing for a busy end to the transfer window with plenty of exits. Raheem Sterling recently left the club by mutual agreement.

Blues graduate Tyrique George is also expected to leave permanently. Fulham have cooled their pursuit, but Benfica are fresh contenders.
