Man Utd star set to return from injury vs Chelsea

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is expected to return from injury ahead of the Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday night.

The Englishman picked up an injury in training prior to the Leeds United game, and it contributed to the club's 2-1 league defeat at Old Trafford.

In his absence, Manuel Ugarte started alongside Casemiro in midfield. The Uruguayan was unconvincing and gifted possession on numerous occasions.

Ugarte is bound to be dropped against the Blues and reports claim that Mainoo will be fully fit for the encounter, having returned to training.

The midfielder has been almost ever-present in the heart of United's midfield since Michael Carrick took temporary charge of the club in January.

He is already back in contention for the England squad and will be eyeing a strong finish to the campaign to break into the World Cup squad this summer.

Alongside Mainoo, Diogo Dalot and Bryan Mbeumo are expected to return to the starting XI. Ayden Heaven could start in central defence with Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire suspended.
