Jelavic's father admits Liverpool deal possible
Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic's father and agent Philip admitted today that several English clubs are interested in the player, but Liverpool are in in the driving seat to land the Croatian international.
The highly rated striker has been linked with a move away from Ibrox this month, and at this time no offer has been made from any club apart from Championship hopefuls West Ham.
Philip Jelavic said: “Yes, we know about the interest of West Ham, and Queens Park Rangers. But Nikica has five or six clubs interested, including that of the great Liverpool. As for West Ham and QPR, I think that Nikica is more ambitious than that. I think it’s most likely that he will sign for Liverpool. But there are still a few days until the end of the transfer window, so we will wait and see.”
