Frank Rijkaard has refused to concede defeat in the race for the La Liga title after dropping two points to Recreativo on Saturday in the 2-2 draw. Samuel Et'oo scored two goals that looked to have won the game for Barca, but Recreativo managed to muster up a great draw.

"We began well but after they leveled up we lowered our guard. At 1-2 we were waiting for something more to win the match, but although we had chances and opportunities to kill the game, they continued to fight and were able to obtain the tie," he told reporters after the match.

"It is a pity, because the team put in enough effort to achieve the victory.

"It is still mathematically possible to win it, but we must start gaining more points if we are to do so."
