Cole delighted with victory

Instrumental England and Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole was delighted the fantastic 3-2 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final last night.

Cole said: "It's a cracking victory. It's not going to sink in for a few days but we've made history.

"When the draw was made I would have preferred to have played anyone else in the world apart from Liverpool because of their record against us in the Champions League.

"But we got the job done and we'll move on. We're all happy because it's an historic night for Chelsea but we haven't won anything yet and silverware's what counts.

"Everyone's played a part. We've had injuries to the squad at key times so this is a win for the squad.

"We can look forward to the final but we need to make sure we win it."
