Reo-Coker reassures Villa fans
Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has assured the club's supporters that the club shall shape itself up nicely ahead of next season. He has also asked the supporters to sustain their faith in manager Martin O'Neill.
Aston Villa shall venture on a pre-season Switzerland tour soon but with the club captain Gareth Barry's participation in the tour having been cancelled, the supporters are staring to foster a dim sense of apprehension.
Reo-Coker though asks the fans to remain calm and have faith in the management. He told the club's official website:
“There are certain things going on regarding some players, but we are not concentrating on that. We are the ones who have remained at the club and we want to prepare for next season. In the past, I have been quoted as saying Martin O’Neill is the best manager in Britain, and I stand by that.
“[The manager] knows what players we need. He will not let us down, the fans just have to patient.”
“People wrote us off last season… [now] they will say what they want again – that is their opinion. We know we have to work hard on the training ground and are aware of what we want to achieve as a group of players.”
