Former AC Milan and Chelsea striker Andrei Shevchenko has stoked the fires ahead of the Champions League tie between Dinamo Kiev and Inter Milan tonight, confident that his side can knock Jose Mourinho's men out of the tournament at this early stage.

The Ukrainian said: “Every challenge with Inter will always be a derby for me, a very special battle.

“They are my historic rivals, it is a pleasure to take them on and it would be very satisfying for me to beat them.

“Let’s hope tomorrow’s game is an entertaining one and that we emerge victorious. I am convinced we can do it.

“Inter are a very balanced side and physically strong, but we can make life difficult for them.”
