Fulham star cautious over tricky mo
Fulham need to ensure they don't take their foot off the gas as they battle to finish as high in the Premier League as possible, according to Simon Davies.
The Welsh midfielder is currently preparing with the rest of the Fulham side for their clash with Juventus in the Europa League later this week, and he believes the club has come a long way in the last couple of years.
Fulham are currently in tenth place in the Premier League and are seven points behind Aston Villa in seventh position - but the London club are still capable of European qualification again with a good run of form between now and the end of the season.
Davies admitted the club faces a daunting month as they have to face Juventus twice, Manchester rivals City and United, and Spurs in an FA Cup replay. He called on the side to try and extend their good form, despite the size of the challenge facing them.
"It's game after game and hopefully we can keep this run going because we had a great run in February," said the 30-year-old.
"We've got a lot of experience in the squad and I'm sure the manager will negotiate the month wisely. We've got a big fixture pile-up now so I'm sure the manager will use the squad."
Fulham's success last month was highlighted when manager Roy Hodgson and goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer won the respective manager and player of the month awards in the Premier League for February.
However, the Europa League betting odds suggest Juventus will have too much for the London side when they meet in Italy this week.
Meanwhile, Schwarzer will be hoping to carry his good form into this year's World Cup in South Africa.
The 2010 Football World Cup betting odds suggest Australia will struggle to make it past the group stage, but if Schwarzer is at the top of his game he could make all the difference.
