Erik Lamela has completed a move from relegated River Plate to Roma in a deal worth an estimated £17m. The 19 year old signed a five year contract.
Lamela had attracted the interest of Tottenham only two weeks ago, but instead the Argentine teenager has decided to join Roma.
In May this year the player received his first international cap for Argentina, and some impressive performances in a very poor River Plate side attracted interest from several sides.
Lamela links up with his new team mates this week.
