Arsenal complete move for Gervinho

Arsenal complete move for Gervinho

11 July 2011 - 08:46

Arsenal have completed the signing of Ivory Coast international winger Gervinho, in a deal that is believed to have cost the Gunners around £11m. Gervinho helped Lille to the Ligue 1 title in France last season.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had been chasing Gervinho for over a month and has finally agreed a deal to land the Ivorian.

The player has been awarded a work permit for the Gunners and has put pen to paper on a four year contract.

Gervinho has not been able to travel on the Gunners' pre-season tour of Asia, though; and therefore waits for his team mates to return in London.
