21 July 2011 - 04:32

Arsenal continue to stand firm on their valuation of Spain international midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who is being pursued by former club Barcelona. The Gunners are holding out for 40m GBP, but Barca will only pay 35m GBP for him.

  • Earlier in the week, Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola said: "This year Arsenal has agreed to negotiate and we are working on it. Barcelona has made an offer, Arsenal another and we have time until August 31 and we'll try to reach an agreement."

It seems that Barcelona will fight until the end to secure a move for Fabregas before the end of the transfer window.
