Alex McLeish has decided that DJ Campbell could be a suitable partner for Darren Bent in his new look Aston Villa side. Aston Villa look set to hijack QPR's bid for Campbell.

DJ Campbell's club Blackpool had already agreed a fee with Queens Park Rangers for his sale; but it appears that Aston Villa will match this and make a superior offer to the player.



Aston Villa are set to offer a 3 year contract to the 29 year old.
