Stoke chasing Jamie Murphy

Stoke City have been linked with a move for Motherwell striker Jamie Murphy, despite reports of an offer being made already being quickly rejected by the Scottish club.

  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • "I can categorically state now, we have not had one enquiry for Jamie, regardless of what one or two people have said in the press, which is a bit annoying," Stuart Mccall the Motherwell boss revealed.

Murphy is valued by his club at around 4m GBP, whilst Stoke have reportedly made an offer of only 2m GBP.

"He's enjoying his football, he's playing regularly and playing really well.

"We don't encourage interest. We expect it because he's a good player. But we certainly don't want to lose anybody," McCall continued.
