Tottenham open Bryan Ruiz talks

Tottenham have opened talks with FC Twente over a possible move for Bryan Ruiz. The winger, 25, has 43 caps for Costa Rica and is currently valued at around 13m GBP.

A number of other clubs are also tracking Ruiz, with Fulham boss Martin Jol also weighing up a move for the Twente man.



However, Tottenham are believed to be the preferred destination of the player.



According to reports, Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp was in the stands monitoring Ruiz as he played for Twente against Benfica in their Champions League qualifier yesterday.
