Man Utd last gasp offer for Sneijder?

21 August 2011 - 10:13

Manchester United have made a last gasp offer for Dutch international midfielder Wesley Sneijder. A statement on the Inter Milan website revealed that Sneijder withdrew from training "for personal reasons".

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • Man Utd have been linked with a move for Sneijder all summer; but have baulked at the 35m EUR that Inter Milan seek to release their star midfielder.

Whilst Inter are happy to keep Sneijder, the Dutchman is pining for a move to Manchester.

At this point, United have resisted an official offer as they have high hopes for youth duo Paul Pogba and Tom Cleverley.
