Stoichkov leaves Celta

Stoitchkov, who played for FC Barcelona and is widely considered Bulgaria's greatest ever player, has decided to leave Celta Vigo. It had been reportedly that Stoichkov had been given the sack, however, it appears he decided to leave of his own accord after Celta defeating Xerez 3-1.

Stoichkov said a few days ago he had presented the club’s leadership with his decision to leave the post, but he did not want to announce it officially until a successor was found. At the press conference Stoichkov suggested he wished to spend more time with his family.
