Kieron Dyer set to leave

Kieron Dyer set to leave

29 July 2007 - 19:03

Kieron Dyer is almost certainly set to leave Newcastle United after Sam Allardyce admitted Kieron had requested a transfer for personal reasons. One of the reasons suggested is that Kieron is eager to move closer to his family in London.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • West Ham and Tottenham have been linked with a move for the midfielder, and will certainly be impressed with his recent pre-season friendly performances especially in Newcastle's 2-0 victory over Juventus. Should West Ham snap up Dyer it will be interesting to see how former 'rivals' Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer link up, and even more interestingly West Ham's midfield could include 3 former Newcastle midfielders if you include Scott Parker.

Sven Goran Eriksson is also keen to sign Dyer but Kieron's desire to move to London could prevent this move. Kieron is earning more than £80,000 a week at Newcastle and the club will benefit from cashing in at this stage.
