Tottenham to step up Scott Parker interest

26 August 2011 - 06:41

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has told club officials that he is optimistic that a deal for Scott Parker can be agreed before the transfer window closes at the end of August. The West Ham midfielder is reportedly looking for a move away from the club in search of Premier League football.

  • Chelsea star to miss FA Cup final with hamstring injury
  • Chelsea to move for Bendegúz Kovács?
  • QPR had been linked with a move for Parker last week, but apparently Parker turned that move down as he would prefer to move to a bigger club.

Parker is said to be looking to join Tottenham as he hopes to keep himself in the frame for a place in the England squad. Parker would be allowed to leave Upton Park for around 7.5m GBP.
