Stoke move for Peter Crouch held up

Stoke City have been unable to agree a transfer fee with Tottenham for England international striker Peter Crouch, and have temporarily called off a move for the forward.

According to reports, Stoke City are only willing to offer 5m GBP for Crouch, a hefty chunk short of the reported 8m GBP that Tottenham require to release Crouch from his contract.



Stoke have just 4 days to successfully agree terms with Tottenham for the transfer of Crouch; then discuss personal terms with the player.
