Champions League ban for Arsene Wenger upheld

Arsene Wenger will be forced to watch Arsenal's next two games from the sidelines in the Champions League, after UEFA upheld his suspension for communicating with his team via assistants against Udinese.

  • Arsene Wenger will be forced to watch from the stands in the opening two Champions League games against Borussia Dortmund and Olympiakos this month.



    Wenger had launched an appeal after insisting that UEFA officials told the Frenchman that it was OK to communicate with his team via assistant Pat Rice.
