Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner is happy to have finally arrived at Sunderland and admits Steve Bruce is the main reason for his transfer to the Stadium of Light.
Bendtner worked with Bruce whilst on loan at Birmingham City, and also had spent time with his manager when Bendtner had been dating Bruce's daughter.
Bendtner admits he looks forward to being an important member of the team at Sunderland: "This has been a long time on the way. Steve Bruce was the main reason behind me choosing to come here.
"This is a good opportunity. It's a chance to get my career back on track."
