Liverpool coach has high hopes for Bellamy

10 September 2011 - 02:46

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is confident that Craig Bellamy can make an instant impact at Anfield. Bellamy rejoined the Reds for a second time on transfer deadline day.

  • Gary Neville breaks silence on Ruben Amorim
  • Confirmed Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brentford, Estevao absent

  • Bellamy seemed to be set for another season at Manchester City after failing to agree a loan move away, but Liverpool finally completed a deal for the Welshman on transfer deadline day.

Kenny Dalglish is more than confident Bellamy will make an impact: "He's really enthusiastic at being back and made a lot of sacrifices to come back, financially and otherwise, because of what the club means to him.

"We're delighted to have people with that attitude here. I don't know why I've never signed him before in my managerial career.

"Maybe I wasn't working when he was available. He's always been somebody that has impressed me.

"He's got pace, quality, he loves this club - which is very important - and he'll be a fantastic asset for us."
