Man City midfielder Owen Hargreaves felt like a "guinea pig" during his time recovering from a knee tendon injury at former club Man Utd. Hargreaves returned with to action with a stunning goal in the Carling Cup against Birmingham this week.
Afterwards, Hargreaves' stunning goal saw hundreds of media reports suggesting that the midfielder could be recalled to the England team.
"I've had to be a guinea pig for a lot of treatments," said Hargreaves, when asked about his time at Old Trafford.
"I received some injections and my knee tendon was never the same again. I tried to get back on my feet and [United's medical staff] said my tendon was good, but it felt like I was made of glass."
Hargreaves played only 39 games for Man Utd in 4 seasons.
