Stuart Pearce rules out England job

Stuart Pearce rules out England job

29 September 2011 - 06:26

England under 21 manager Stuart Pearce has ruled himself out of the running to take Fabio Capello's job once the Italian leaves. However, Pearce believes he is not yet ready to take the role.

  • Chelsea plan shock swoop for Sporting CP star
  • Arsenal & Chelsea want to sign Belgian winger
  • Pearce said: "At this stage, I don't have the experience for the job.

"At this moment in time, I have managed Manchester City, had a brief spell at Nottingham Forest, and the under-21s.

"If you amass all the games there, it is less than 200 matches. For me, there is not enough experience there.

"I am enjoying what I am doing and whoever the next man is through the door when Fabio leaves, I will obviously give him as much support as he needs from me, or I can give him, to help him do his job to the best of his ability."
