De Rossi could move to MLS

06 October 2011 - 01:15

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has revealed that one day he could make a move to the US and play in Major League Soccer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • De Rossi has long been linked with a move to Chelsea, but as yet remains a Roma player.

The midfielder admits that one day his career will take him down a new path, and a life in America could be possible.

“I want to play in Italy for five more years, then I would consider playing my football outside of the peninsula,” he said.

“I’m attracted by the idea of playing abroad. I’m thinking of Japan, China, America, it would be a good life experience.

“Another Italian club? I can’t imagine that because I have always played for Roma.”
