Eto'o may join Inter on loan

13 October 2011 - 19:47

According to the player's agent, Anzhi Makhachkala forward Samuel Eto'o may join his former club Inter Milan on loan in January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Eto'o moved to Anzhi in the summer of 2011 and was reportedly made the highest paid player in the world, with an annual salary of about €20 million.

Inter have started the season miserably and are currently languishing in the 17th spot. Many feel that Eto'o's departure is directly responsible for the club's loss of form.

News agency Ansa reported on Wednesday that the San Siro outfit were considering a loan move for their former player in the January, during the Russian Premier League's winter break.

When questioned about the rumours, Eto'o's agent Claudio Vigorelli was open to the idea of a move back to Milan.

"Why not return to Inter when the Russian league is on a break?", Vigorelli said to Inosmi.ru.
