Rigters could leave on loan

12 October 2007 - 22:26

Frustrated Blackburn Rovers striker Maceo Rigters has told the club that he may leave on loan if he is unable to hold down a regular starting berth. The 23-year-old summer signing from NAC Breda has told the press he is finding life difficult in Blackburn.

  • "Of course that is frustrating," said Rigters.

"But there are some very good players before me and when the club wins four games in a row, you know that you still have to wait for a chance."

Rigters hopes to get his chance in the coming weeks and was encouraged by a recent chat with Blackburn boss Mark Hughes.

He said: "Hughes told me that I have simply been unlucky and that the other strikers are doing so well. So who knows? I might be playing games in a couple of weeks."
