Stevan Jovetic, the Fiorentina winger, has put pen to paper on a new five year contract at the Viola and Chelsea appear to have missed out on the 21 year old.

According to many reports, Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has been monitoring the progress of Jovetic over the past few months.



But Fiorentina have won the race and will keep their star youngster.



"We’re starting a new era and Jovetic will be our symbol", said Fiorentina chief Andrea Della Valle.
