Tottenham ready to sell Pavlyuchenko

20 October 2011 - 15:45

Harry Redknapp has admitted for the first time that he is prepared to sell Russian international striker Roman Pavlyuchenko in January. The striker has been linked with a move to Spartak Moscow.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Pavlyuchenko has struggled for first team football at White Hart Lane in recent months, and has hinted that he would like to quit London if the offer of first team football was there.

"If he wanted to go and it was a good offer, then we would look at that, for sure," Redknapp said. "He's not a player that I'm looking to move. I like him. He's a good person, good player. I hope he can have a good season.

"He has to work hard every game. He has to be more consistent. He didn't have a great pre-season. He hasn't shown enough this year to be in the team.

"He can score goals, and maybe if he goes on a run, gets an opportunity and score some goals for us ..."
