Everton make approach for George John

Everton scouts have been recommended 24 year old defensive player George John. The Dallas player is available in January for a small fee, believed to be in the region of 500,000.

John has played for FC Dallas since 2008, and established himself as an important member of the first team.



Recent impressive domestic performances have seen the defensive midfielder called up to the international squad, but he has yet to make an appearance for the USA. John is also eligible for the Greece team.



Everton could turn to John after a recommendation from former striker Landon Donovan, and a move could be completed in January.
