Preview: Swansea vs Bolton

Preview: Swansea vs Bolton

29 October 2011 - 08:39

Both Swansea and Bolton will have their eyes on victory today, as Bolton manager Owen Coyle looks to end a worrying start to the season with victory at Swansea; but the Welsh club have a formidable home record and will make things very difficult for the Trotters.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • This time last year, Bolton were enjoying one of their best starts to the season and many were dreaming of European qualification. Things could not be any more different this year, though.

Bolton are struggling at the wrong end of the table, and the highly rated Owen Coyle has found his position at the club under some pressure.

Swansea's Brendan Rogers has made a team full of lower division stars that has not looked so out of place in the Premier League. At home, their record is fantastic as they have yet to concede a goal this season.

Bolton have conceded 24 goals in their opening 9 games, leaving them in 18th place in the Premier League. They will be looking to move out of the relegation zone come Saturday afternoon.

After the 3-1 win at Wigan a few weeks ago they then lost at home to Sunderland, seeing their form continue the downward spiral that has engulfed their season so far.

Swansea have been impressive in the league so far, picking up 2 wins and 3 draws from their 9 games.

    TEAMS

Swansea have a full squad from which to choose from, whilst Bolton will be missing on loan defender Dedryck Boyata.

    PREDICTION:

    Swansea City 1-1 Bolton

    FIRST GOALSCORER:

    Kevin Davies
