Man City offer Tevez a second chance

Man City offer Tevez a second chance

01 November 2011 - 14:08

Manchester City have sensationally offered Carlos Tevez a second chance after his refusal to come off of the bench during a Champions League game with Bayern Munich in September. Tevez has not played for the club since the incident.

  • Arsenal preparing third bid for Spanish star
  • Chelsea ready to sell Christopher Nkunku to Man Utd for £35m?

  • Tevez has since been fined two weeks wages and suspended from action, and had been expected to leave the club come January.

However, we understand that Tevez could be set for a shock return to action for City should he offer a public apology in favour of Roberto Mancini.

Tevez previously insisted that he had not been wrong during the high profile incident on the touchline. However, Mancini had still decided to suspend the player whilst the club conducted its own internal investigation.

Tevez could be set for a shock return to the first team, though, should he apologise to Mancini.

"Everything depends on Carlos," Mancini told Corriere della Sera. "If he apologises to the squad and to me then everything will be as before. If he doesn't then Tevez has a value that everyone knows and something will happen in January.

"He is totally unprepared and being badly advised. I don't want it to be like this and I would be the first to forgive him."
