Chelsea are considering making a swoop for AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato after their heavy investment in Fernando Torres is proving to be a waste.
A report in calciomercato.com claims that Chelsea would have to make a mega offer in the region of £39 million to secure his signature.
The arrival and good form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho has restricted Pato to the bench on many occasions, and recurrent injury problems have meant that Pato has never got back to his earlier self.
AC Milan might consider cashing in on the 22-year-old especially if a large sum of money is on offer.
