Liverpool could make a surprise move for Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone in the January transfer window. Liverpool are looking to replace Steven Gerrard, who could be out for some time through injury.

According to reports, Huddlestone could move as soon as January as he hopes to improve his chances of an England spot in next summer's Euro 2012 tournament.<br />

At Tottenham, Huddlestone has not always enjoyed regular first team football and the arrival of Scott Parker has left his opportunities limited. However, Huddlestone has a contract with Tottenham until 2015, and so it may be difficult for Liverpool to force a move for the midfielder.
