Montolivo may move to Milan

Montolivo may move to Milan

02 November 2011 - 18:15

Reports in the media claim that Fiorentina's wantaway midfielder Riccardo Montolivo may snub a move to Premier League in favour of a move to Italian champions AC Milan.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Montolivo has only six months left on his contract, and will leave the Viola on a free transfer at the end of the year, with Arsenal and Manchester United monitoring his situation.

In order to prevent that, the club are willing to sell him in January albeit for a minimal fee, with England being a possible destination

His agent Giovanni Branchini said to Gazetta.it: “Yes, it’s true, the two clubs made contact,”

“It’s up to Fiorentina now to decide what to do. We have taken a decision, which is not to renew the contract with the Viola, but we are not putting any pressure on them to leave Florence now.”
