Tottenham still weighing up Beckham bid

06 November 2011 - 16:12

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits that a move for David Beckham could still be possible, but is concerned the lack of a guarantee of first team football could turn off the former England international.

  • Beckham's contract with MLS outfit LA Galaxy expires in just over two weeks, and Becks has been linked with several of Europe's biggest clubs. Paris St Germain have reportedly been locked in discussions with the 36 year old for over a month.

However, Tottenham could be in pole position should the midfielder decide to return to England.

"David's a fantastic player and a great influence in and around the club. He's someone that I have always admired and is a great role model," said Spurs' boss Harry Redknapp.

"I would take him, for sure but my dilemma is being able to guarantee him first-team football. I have an abundance of talent in midfield so it's difficult to work out how and when I can play him."
