Pardew promises attacking Newcastle display

Pardew promises attacking Newcastle display

19 November 2011 - 07:18

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has promised an attacking display this weekend against Man City, as the Toon manager prepares to become the first coach to lead a side to victory over the Citizens this year.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Newcastle have been flying high in the Premier League this season, outperforming most people's expectations and currently lie in 3rd in the league.
Alan Pardew has admitted that he spent some time analyzing Man City during the international break, and he could have a tactic that will compete with the league leaders this weekend.
Pardew said: “The international break has given me a good chance to study teams who’ve played City, and everyone who’s tried to sit off them and be conservative has been beaten quite comfortably.
“But the two or three teams who’ve had a go – with the exception of Man Utd, who had a man sent off and had a bad day at the office - have done well.
“So that’s the attitude we’ll take and hopefully we’ll cause them some problems.
“After Barcelona and Real Madrid they are the form team in Europe [at the moment] and we have to have confidence and belief, which we’ve got. I think we’ll give them a good game.”
