According to reports from Germany, Blackburn representatives have been in discussions with VfB Stuttgart regarding a January transfer switch for highly rated 24-year-old defender Serdar Tasci.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Tasci is one of the most improved young centre backs in the Bundesliga in recent years, and has since gone on to play regularly for his adopted country Germany. Tasci was a part of the 2010 World Cup squad.

Tasci has been with VfB since 2006 and helped his side to the Bundesliga title in 2007. His current contract with the German side ends in July 2014.

The report suggests Blackburn will make an offer of around 5.75m GBP.
