Manchester United manager Michael Carrick confirmed a fresh injury concern after the thrilling 4-4 Premier League draw against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils could not end their winless league streak earlier today but things could have been much worse. They were trailing 4-2 in stoppage time but somehow managed to share the spoils.
Speaking after the game, Carrick revealed that the half-time removal of Harry Maguire was indeed injury-related. The Englishman was substituted after struggling with back spasms.
Maguire has been a vital player for United in the heart of the defence and the international break has come at the right time for him to make a recovery.
United have had a tough campaign in the top-flight. They have picked up just eight points from 10 games into the season under manager Michael Carrick.
The pressure is huge after the latest draw against the Villans and there is a possibility that Carrick could be sacked before United face Liverpool at Anfield later this month.
