Rio Ferdinand is likely to quit Man Utd at the end of the season, as contract talks appear to have stalled. The England international has been linked with a move to Tottenham since last summer.
Ferdinand has 18 months left on his current deal, but is looking for a further year extension on that contract. Apparently, United are looking to wait for another six months before discussions can begin.<br />
Injuries have meant that Ferdinand has found himself out of the first team this year, with former Blackburn defender Phil Jones taking a more prominent role in the United defence.<br />
Ferdinand also wants guarantees that he will be a first team regular before committing to any contract at Old Trafford.
