Chelsea plan Gary Cahill move

Chelsea plan Gary Cahill move

22 November 2011 - 08:03

Chelsea are believed to be preparing a summer Bosman move for Bolton defender Gary Cahill. Andre Villas-Boas has told club scouts that Cahill is the best player available on the market to replace John Terry, when the centre back calls time on his club career.

  • Chelsea to complete deal for Pep Chavarria
  • Malo Gusto to complete move from Chelsea to Man City this week
  • Bolton had attempted to sell their star defender last summer for 18m GBP, but other clubs baulked at his transfer fee, including Arsenal and Tottenham.

Now it appears that Bolton are set to lose Cahill on a free transfer next summer, as Chelsea are believed to be considering an approach for the England centre back in the coming months.

Chelsea could even make a move in January should Bolton sell at a low enough price, and Chelsea could even land the defender for as low as 5.5m GBP.
