Edinson Cavani on Man Citys radar

Edinson Cavani on Man City's radar

24 November 2011 - 08:11

Man City coach Roberto Mancini has been sufficiently impressed with the recent form of Uruguayan international forward Edinson Cavani, and is instructing his management team to make a sensational move for the Napoli hot shot.

  • Arne Slot confirms big Liverpool injury blow
  • Bournemouth close to signing Chelsea defender?

  • On Tuesday, Cavani scored a brace to put Manchester City's Champions League hopes in jeopardy, and Mancini has now decided to make a shock move for the former Palermo striker.

Cavani is valued at 35m GBP by Napoli, but Man City could sign Cavani as a replacement for Tevez, who is expected to join an Italian side in the coming months. AC Milan and Juventus are the two teams favoured by Tevez for a move.

For Cavani, he could earn a massive 160,000 GBP salary in Manchester, almost double the amount he earns in Serie A.
