Anelka confident on Chelsea stay

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has rejected quotes attributed to The Times that the Frenchman wants to quit Stamford Bridge in search of pastures new in the January transfer window.

"Following the quotations attributed to me in an English newspaper, I'd like to categorically deny having given any interview, let alone spoken about my future," Anelka told&nbsp;<em>AFP</em>.<br />

"I'm under contract with Chelsea until the end of the season, with many playing commitments."<br />

Nicolas Anelka has been linked with a move to LA Galaxy in January, and a number of other European clubs were reportedly alerted to his availability last week.
