Arsenal's scouts in France have been monitoring youngster Geoffrey Kondogbia, currently playing in Ligue 2 for Lens. Gilles Grimandi, the Gunners chief scout, has sent back glowing reports to London.

The French Under-19 international has been on form this year, with the 18 year old currently playing regular first team football for Lens.<br />

The defensive midfielder has been labelled a player of great potential by many respected pundits in France, and Lyon and Lille have both been monitoring his progress closely.<br />

However, it appears that Arsenal could beat all the French sides to his coveted signature; the Gunners are reportedly preparing a 3.25m GBP move next summer.
