Liverpool considering fresh bid for Max Clayton

The Reds are lining up another bid for the 17-year old Crewe Alexandra striker having failed to sign him two years ago. Clayton had been in the limelight after an impressive performance for England in the Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

    The Crewe youngster scored a crucial away goal on 19th November, 2011 against Morecombe coming on as a substitute in the 77th minute. Alexandra's director of football Dario Gardi told that "It's a good experience for him. He'll be well pleased with the goal."<br /><br />The match was watched by scouts from 17 Premier League clubs. Tottenham is also rumoured to be interested in signing the youngster.
