Liverpool considering fresh bid for Max Clayton

The Reds are lining up another bid for the 17-year old Crewe Alexandra striker having failed to sign him two years ago. Clayton had been in the limelight after an impressive performance for England in the Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

    The Crewe youngster scored a crucial away goal on 19th November, 2011 against Morecombe coming on as a substitute in the 77th minute. Alexandra's director of football Dario Gardi told that "It's a good experience for him. He'll be well pleased with the goal."



    The match was watched by scouts from 17 Premier League clubs. Tottenham is also rumoured to be interested in signing the youngster.
