Franz Beckenbauer has thrown his weight behind England's 2018 World Cup bid. 'Der Kaiser' has said that realistically, England are the only candidates for hosting the tournament and deserve their opportunity to host the World Cup again.
The World Cup has only just had its hosting in Europe but by 2018 there is a chance the World Cup can be hosted again in Europe. The FA is expected to lodge a formal bid for the World Cup after meetings with the government in due course.
