Newcastle scouts are tracking Burkina Faso international Alain Traore, after a stunning season for Auxerre so far. The midfielder is valued by his club at around 6.5m GBP, but Auxerre are desperate to keep the player.
"It’s a pleasure to know that these clubs are following me, but at this time, that’s just a secondary thing." said Traore, when asked about any potential transfer away from Auxerre.
Newcastle, Everton, Paris St Germain and Sevilla are all interested in Traore's services, meanwhile Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has also recommended the player to good friend Roy Hodgson at West Brom.
The 22 year old has two years left on his current Auxerre deal.
