Ajax full back Gregory van der Wiel has yet to agree a move to Valencia, despite reports last week that the Dutch international is set to join the Che in the January transfer window.
"Valencia will have to reach an agreement with Ajax first," the player's agent Hakim Slimani told Voetbal International.
"There's quite a good atmosphere, though.Valencia would be a great next step in Gregory's career.
"They really want him as their new right-back and Valencia are a big team in a superb league."
The player is valued at around 8m by Ajax.
